Lucia Mar Unified School District Awards Contract for Solar Energy to Chevron Energy Solutions
Oct. 25, 2013 - On October 15, 2013, the school board of the Lucia Mar Unified School District (San Luis Obispo County, CA) awarded Chevron Energy Solutions a contract to design and develop an innovative program which will include solar energy systems, energy efficiency measures and improved lighting components that are estimated to save the district over $40 million, or about $20 million after paying all program costs over the 30-year project life. -

Oct. 24, 2013 - Yingli Green Energy, known as "Yingli Solar", today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Yingli Energy (China) Company Limited ("Yingli China"), will supply 59MW of multicrystalline YGE Series PV modules to China Three Gorges New Energy Co., Ltd. ("CTGNE"). -

SolarCity and Hawaiian Electric Company to Develop 15MW Solar Energy Project
Oct. 23, 2013 - SolarCity today announced it has been selected by Hawaiian Electric Company to build a 15-megawatt photovoltaic system to provide clean energy to O'ahu residents. The 50-acre project will be constructed on undeveloped land at the Kahe Generating Station, subject to PUC approval. SolarCity, with local operations in Mililani, was selected through a procurement process to construct the project, which will be owned and operated by Hawaiian Electric. -

S&C to Design and Build 4.1MW Solar Project in Massachusetts
October 22, 2013 – S&C Electric Company today announces a $9.7 million USD project with Green States Energy for construction of a 4.1MW solar photovoltaic farm in Sandwich, Mass. This project will help Massachusetts reach its larger goal of developing 400MW of solar photovoltaic power in the Commonwealth. -

BTU International's SinTerra Selected for the Yingli State PV Laboratory
October 22, 2013 - BTU International, Inc. today announced that it has signed a two-year agreement with Yingli Green Energy to support the State Key Laboratory of PV Technology. As part of the agreement, BTU will supply a SinTerra metallization firing furnace system.
