    Canadian Solar Completes the Sale of Little Creek Solar Power Plant

    March 27, 2014 - Canadian Solar today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Canadian Solar Solutions Inc., has completed the sale of Little Creek, a 8.5 megawatt ("MW") AC solar power plant valued at over C$53.0 million to a BluEarth Renewables Inc. subsidiary ("BluEarth"). This is the first of four planned solar projects being acquired by BluEarth from Canadian Solar, totalling 38.5MW AC.

    Unirac Awarded Contract for 37.2MW GMS Installation in Guam

    March 26, 2014 - Unirac, Inc. has been selected by Sunora Energy Solutions and NRG Energy to provide a 37.2MW Ground Mount Steel (GMS) mounting system to be installed on the island of Inarajan, Guam. The solar array will offset 15,000 tons of CO2 emissions from fossil fuel generation and provide clean energy to power the equivalent of 12,000 homes annually.

    Hanwha Q CELLS and ILIOSS Partner to Install 31MW Solar Power in Mexico

    March 24, 2014 – Tiendas Soriana S.A. de C.V. and Hanwha Q CELLS today announced a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for 31 megawatts (MW) of photovoltaic (PV) solar power at 120 retail locations across Mexico that will create significant long-term energy savings for Soriana.     Moapa Paiute Tribe, LADWP and First Solar Break Ground on 250MW Solar Project

    March 21, 2014 - Today, U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (NV) joined representatives from the Moapa Band of Paiutes, executives from First Solar, Inc. and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP), as well as other community, government and energy industry leaders to celebrate the start of construction of the 250 Megawatt AC Moapa Southern Paiute Solar Project. The project is located on the Moapa River Indian Reservation just north of Las Vegas, and has a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the LADWP to deliver clean, solar energy for 25 years to the City of Los Angeles.

The PPA was signed with the National Electric Power Company (NEPCO) and is valid for 20 years.

    Hanwha SolarOne Signs MOU with the Wuxi Administrative Committee to Develop 100MW PV Projects

    March 20, 2014 - Hanwha SolarOne today announced it has signed a memorandum of understanding ("MOU") with the Wuxi New District Administrative Committee (the "Wuxi Administrative Committee") to establish a long-term strategic partnership to develop downstream PV projects. The Wuxi Administrative Committee will provide rooftop space, facilitate local government approvals and grid connection, as well as, aid with obtaining preferential tax treatment and project financing. As part of the strategic partnership, Hanwha SolarOne intends to own and operate 100MW of distributed generation projects in Wuxi New District.
