Canadian Solar Wins a 63MW Solar Power Project in Mexico
Canadian Solar Inc. today announced that it has won a 63MW solar power project in Aguascalientes, Mexico. Canadian Solar will develop and build the solar power plant. Once connected to the grid, the electricity generated will be sold to CFE (Comisión Federal de Electricidad), under a 15-year Power Purchase Agreement for energy and capacity and 20-year for Clean Energy Certificates at approximately US$47.95/MWh. The project is expected to be connected to the grid in September 2018. -

Duke Energy Renewables Acquires Two North Carolina Solar Projects
Duke Energy Renewables today announced it has acquired two 5MW solar projects in Eastern North Carolina from ET Capital. The Hertford site, located in Hertford, Perquimans County, and the Long Farm project, in Garysburg, Northampton County, were completed in March and will collectively generate enough energy to power about 2,000 homes. -

Clenergy Powers Guyang 20MW Solar Park
Clenergy's 20MW photovoltaic power station successfully connected to the grid in Guyang, Inner Mongolia, capping months of hard work. The program is expected to generate approximately 32m KW in the first year with an installed capacity of 20MW, saving 8,700 tons of standard coal and reducing 43,300 tons of CO2. -
