Arduous combined efforts and Portfolio assessment results achieved by several parties have enabled Golden Glass to win a tender for the design, build and operation of one of largest BIPV projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia- The Samba Bank HQ.
Samba Financial Group (Formerly known as The Saudi American Bank) systematically and wholly entrust Golden Glass as the EPC contractor for this project.
This significant BIPV project has marked a breakthrough for Golden Glass since their last very successful BIPV project - Ex Michelin, opening new markets and setting up the high brand awareness and reputation that Golden Glass strive to provide.
It is known that the Samba Financial Group (formerly known as The Saudi American Bank), is one of the largest banking firms in Saudi Arabia with its institution holding 66 branches within the Kingdom.
The Samba Bank tower was designed by Forster+Partner & Buro Happold, the construction will be done by El-Self Engineering, the facilities will be built just inside the King Abdullah Financial District ,north of the capital Riyadh, the project area size will take up 110 thousand square meters.
Specially designed 700pcs of premium double-glazed BIPV and PVT solar modules will be installed on the top side of the tower, the total installed volume will be 129kW and taking advantage of high irradiation conditions in Riyadh, the electricity generated would be estimated at around 190MWh.
The final construction will give a reflection of the Saudi Arabians people’s common pursuit of eco-friendliness, low carbon life and work concept.
The completion of the building itself would be approved by USGBC and will hold an LEED certification, keeping within the highest standards that Golden Glass customers have come to expect from a world leading company within the Industry.
