Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF) released the 1Q 2024 Global PV Market Outlook. AESOLAR has once again secured its position in the tier 1 list of PV module manufacturers, marking the 13th consecutive time since Q1 2021. As a leading solar brand, this recognition underscores AESOLAR's consistent quality, brand credibility, and strong bankability.
BNEF's methodology for tier 1 PV module manufacturers is stringent, requiring manufacturers to have received non-recourse finance from six different commercial banks over the past two years. This selection process demonstrates the bankability of the chosen brands and provides a reliable reference for the market.
Notably, starting from the 2024 Q1, BNEF has raised the project threshold from the previous 1.5MW to 5MW. This change has led to a decrease in the number of companies included in the tier 1 list compared to the previous quarter (45 companies in Q4 2023 to 26 companies in Q1 2024). Despite this change, AESOLAR maintains its position, showcasing the company's strength and outstanding credibility once again.
Commenting on this change, BNEF stated, "This is due to the increasing size of the solar industry, where 5MW is no longer a particularly large project, and projects below 5MW are extremely difficult to crosscheck with independent data sources when claimed by module manufacturers. The change unsurprisingly reduces the number of companies on the tier 1 list, but total capacity is still 783GW/year, far more than global installation expected in2024."
Furthermore, AESOLAR received a '*' in the list, indicating that their investigation report can be obtained from PV Evolution Labs (PVEL). The Aurora series PV module from AESOLAR has passed testing conducted by PVEL and was among the 'Best Performers' in 2023. This is a result of AESOLAR's continuous focus on research and development, technological innovation, and enhancement of production processes and quality management.
