Huasun Energy and Quality Solar Distribution (QSD) recently announced the signing of a distribution agreement for 150MW of heterojunction (HJT) solar modules. The agreement was signed by Kwon Joonghan, QSD's General Manager, and Peter Xiong, Huasun's Director of Sales for the Asia-Pacific region. This marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for HJT technology in Thailand's solar market.
Under the terms of the contract, Huasun is set to provide QSD with over 150MW of high-power, high-efficiency, and highly reliable HJT products mainly including the Everest Series G12R rectangular modules over the next three years. Meanwhile, QSD will play a role in facilitating the local distribution of these products in Thailand. This collaboration extends to a deep partnership in the localization of floating solar power applications. Both parties aim to leverage their strengths to jointly drive the development of renewable energy in the local market.
QSD is a leading global distributor of renewable energy services and PV products, with a well-established distribution network in Thailand. According to Kwon Joonghan, the company is pursuing a differentiated path compared to other cell technology routes and holds a positive outlook on the future of HJT.
Situated in the tropics with numerous islands, Thailand holds immense potential in the solar market. Huasun's HJT products have several advantages like a low-temperature coefficient that make them particularly superior in power generation performance in hot climates. Coupled with the ongoing support from the Thai government and a series of supportive policies, this has further propelled the development of the local solar market in Thailand.
Peter stated that the collaboration with QSD signifies a solid step for Huasun into the Southeast Asian market, establishing a more comprehensive distribution network in the region.
