Conergy Completes 1.8MW PV Installation for Aqua Pennsylvania
In April, Conergy was joined by Aqua Pennsylvania, Inc. (Aqua) Chairman Nicholas DeBenedictis, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett and other state, local and environment officials to commission Conergy's 1.8MW solar electric energy system installation at the Pickering water treatment facility, now the 8th largest solar farm installation in Pennsylvania. The installation has transformed a 6.5-acre area into a clean energy generation plant creating green jobs, alleviating congestion on the PJM grid and producing clean, renewable energy that will save Aqua Pennsylvania, Inc. (Aqua) $250,000 on its energy bill. The project – known as the Aqua Pickering Solar Farm – is currently producing 2.3kWh of peak-time energy a year for the treatment and transportation of water to approximately 500,000 residents of 27 municipalities in Chester Delaware and Montgomery counties in South-eastern Pennsylvania. The solar farm will not only power Aqua's Pickering water treatment facility in Schuylkill Township, Pennsylvania, but also alleviate congestion on the PJM grid, resulting in savings to consumers by reducing line losses and congestion charges. PJM is a regional transmission organization (RTO) that coordinates the movement of wholesale electricity across 13 states and the District of Columbia.

JA Solar Signs 47MW Supply Agreement With A Shade Greener
JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd. today announced that it has signed a supply agreement with A Shade Greener ("ASG"). Under the terms of the agreement, the Company will supply ASG with 47MW of crystalline solar modules. Shipments commenced this month.

SPI Solar Completes Two Major Projects in Greece
SPI Solar ("SPI") announced today that it has completed construction and successfully interconnected two large-scale solar energy facility ("SEF") projects in Greece. A 2-megawatt development in Evros and a 4.4-megawatt SEF in Orestiada were completed and interconnected by July 26th. Both systems are providing power to the Greek Public Power Corporation through 20-year Power Purchase Agreements. A one-megawatt SEF remains under construction in Rhodopi and is scheduled for completion by mid-September.

Canadian Solar Modules Achieves CSA1000V Certification
Canadian Solar Inc. today announced that it has been awarded CSA1000V certification. With this certification, Canadian Solar modules are now authorized to receive 1000V of maximum system voltage, allowing the company to more efficiently meet customer demand for high-voltage applications in the Americas, while reducing overall system costs.

Ascent Solar Selected to Provide BIPV Modules for New Foxconn Plant
Ascent Solar Technologies, Inc. announced today that it has been selected to provide BIPV solar modules in a pilot application at Foxconn's new factory in Zhenzhou City, Henan Province, China. Foxconn is the world's largest maker of electronic devices and produces many products including the iPad®, iPhone®, Kindle®, Playstation® and Xbox®.

Petra Solar's Technology Has been Used in Bahrain's 5MW Smart Solar Project
Bahrain's Economic Development Board (ECB) has praised Petra Solar, Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO) and the National Oil & Gas Authority (NOGA) after the group announced an agreement on a 5MW distributed smart solar energy project. The deal will see the trio utilise smart grid technology to provide solar power at a number of locations, including at BAPCO's Awali township and the University of Bahrain.

ASM International N.V. today published its Interim, IRFS based, Financial Report for the six-month period ended June 30, 2012. This report includes an Interim Management Board Report, a responsibility statement and Consolidated Condensed Interim Financial Statements prepared in accordance with IAS 34 (Interim Financial Reporting). The Interim Financial Report comprises regulated information within the meaning of the Dutch Financial Markets Supervision Act.

Helios Solar Works Supplies Solar Modules for 1.7MW PV Project at MCRD
Helios Solar Works announced today that modules from its Milwaukee, Wisconsin production facility were supplied for the 1.7 megawatt installation at the Marine Corp Recruiting Depot (MCRD) as part of the Marine Corp Energy Initiative. The project was commissioned on July 9th. To date, Helios has supplied 3 megawatts of modules for the MCRD. This latest project was a ground mount installation using Helios' 410 and 415 watt 9T6 Series panels.

Deutsche Bahn and Moser Baer Commission PV Plant in Germany
Deutsche Bahn (DB) and Moser Baer Clean Energy have officially commissioned by-far the most powerful photovoltaic plant on a railway-owned surface in Wittenberge. The solar park is standing on a former landfill site of 8 hectares (or eleven football sized fields) with a power generation capacity of 3.92MWp. The electricity generated will be fed into the local grid which will help meet the annual energy needs of about 900 households.
