Clenergy, CGN and New Energy Industry Alliance Cooperate to Develop Renewable Energy in Fujian, China
Clenergy and CGN Solar Energy formally signed a cooperation agreement to develop solar power in Fujian with the New Energy Industry Alliance (formerly the Haixi New Energy Industry Alliance). This took place at the Alliance's founding ceremony on June 18 with representatives from Fujian government organizations, industrial associations, industry firms and research institutions. -

July 9, 2013 - Trina Solar Limited today announced the commercial availability of an enhanced version of its Trinasmart modules, embedded with Smart Curve technology. Trinasmart is a module-integrated solution that optimizes the energy output of PV systems, enhances the safety of solar arrays, improves the installation speed of an array and reduces balance of system costs. The technology allows roof sections that are prone to shading to be utilized without causing power loss to the entire system, increasing output within one string by up to 20 percent. -

Canadian Solar and Strata Solar Finalize 18MW PV Projects in North Carolina
July 9, 2013 - Canadian Solar, Inc. today announced that it has completed construction on two utility-scale solar power projects in North Carolina, with a third expected to be completed in mid - July. The projects, named "Lenoir 1, Lenoir 2 and Wilson 1," total 18MW and are part of a 15 - project portfolio totaling 85MW, being jointly developed with Strata Solar announced earlier this year. -

8 July 2013 - Aleo solar AG today announced that, based on preliminary calculations, it expects to have closed the first six months of 2013 with earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of approximately EUR -29,4 million (prior-year period: EUR –23,5 million). Phoenix Solar Signs Contract to Build 38.6MW Solar Electricity Plant in Georgia
June 8, 2013 – Phoenix Solar Inc. today announced it signed a contract with Silicon Ranch Corporation to build a 38.6 megawatt solar plant called Simon Solar Farm in Georgia. Upon completion, the installation will be the largest utility-scale solar power facility in the state and the largest solar installation in the 14-year history of Phoenix Solar.
