Singulus Technologies To Supply a CIGS Production Machine for Hanergy Solar Group
June 26, 2014 - SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES signed an agreement with Apollo Precision (Fujian) Limited, China, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hanergy Solar Group. The signed contract includes the supply of a production machine with the brand name TENUIS II for buffer layer deposition. "Top quality, high reliability and the long experience of SINGULUS' CIGS production equipment was the basis for this decision", explained Mr. Jianjun Liu, General Manager of Apollo Precision (Fujian) Limited, China. -

Toshiba to Supply Lithium-Titanate Battery for 2MW Energy Storage System Project in UK
June 24, 2014 - Toshiba Corporation today announced that it has been selected to provide the battery for the United Kingdom's 2MW scale lithium-titanate battery based Energy Storage System (ESS) to support grid management. The company's 1MWh SCiB™ battery will be installed in a primary substation in central England in September. -

Ubiquity Solar Secures $3.1 Million Contribution From SDTC
June 23, 2014 – Ubiquity Solar Inc. has secured a commitment from the Government of Canada through Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC), to provide $3,122,445 of funding for its High Performance PV Polysilicon and Ingot Pilot Plant Project. Ubiquitys goal is to improve the performance and cost effectiveness of photovoltaic (PV) cells using these advanced silicon technologies. -

SunPower and KB Home Partner on Home Energy Storage Solutions
