SMA Solar Technology AG Plans Global Staff Reductions
The Managing Board of SMA Solar Technology AG is anticipating a decline in sales. For 2014, the Managing Board is confirming the upper end of the sales forecast of €790 million and a loss of up to €115 million. Due to the lower level of sales, the SMA Managing Board is planning to cut approximately 1,600 full-time positions in all functional areas by June 30, 2015. -

Canadian Solar Completes the Sale of Glenarm Solar Power Plant to DIF
Canadian Solar Inc. today announced the sale of the 10MW AC Glenarm solar power plant to an affiliate of DIF Infrastructure III. This solar power plant is valued at over C$60 million (US$49 million) and utilizes Canadian Solar's CS6X photovoltaic (PV) modules. The Glenarm plant will sell electricity pursuant to a 20-year Ontario Power Authority feed-in-tariff contract. The project reached commercial operation in November 2014. -

Hanwha Q Cells to Reshape its International Production Setup
Hanwha Q CELLS announced today that it will launch a program to sharpen the company´s international profile of R&D and production, designed to further improve cost & efficiency and increase the overall competitiveness of the company. As part of the program, Hanwha Q CELLS' German site will cease production as of 1 March 2015. It is intended to transfer the respective production equipment to more cost competitive sites. The production transfer to other sites and the corresponding reshaping is estimated to lead to a reduction of the workforce in Germany by around 550 positions. Around 350 jobs will be maintained at Hanwha Q CELLS in Germany. -

Zeversolar Signs Distributor Agreement with Annex Power
