Wuxi Suntech Developed World's First Carbon Nanotube Photovoltaic Module Frame
Wuxi Suntech Power Co., Ltd. announced today that in partnership with Taiwan Carbon Nanotube Technology Corporation (TCNT), it has successfully developed the world's first low-cost and highly reliable carbon nanotube photovoltaic module frame. Suntech and TCNT have partnered together, merging Suntech's photovoltaic modules with TCNT's carbon nanotubes to deliver a new high-end, cost-saving technology to the solar industry. -

SunPower Partners with Apple to Provide Solar Power to the ABA Region
SunPower Corporation today announced that it plans to partner with Apple to build two solar power projects totaling 40MW in ABA Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefectures, Sichuan Province of the Peoples Republic of China. When complete, the two projects will be co-owned by Sichuan Shengtian New Energy Development Co., Ltd., SunPower's project development joint venture, and Apple. -

SPI to Acquire 50MW of Solar PV Development Rights in the UK
Solar Power, Inc. today announced that it has entered into a non-binding heads of terms with Global Renewable Construction Limited Group to acquire rights to develop 50MW of solar projects in the United Kingdom. According to the heads of terms, SPI intends to complete the construction and development of 50MW of solar PV projects in Wales and the Midlands, with completion for all the projects targeted between the third quarter of 2015 and the first quarter of 2016. SPI and Global Renewable will negotiate in good faith to enter into definitive agreements for each project. -

Trina Solar Announced to Supply 116MW Modules to Japan's Solar Power Project
Trina Solar Limited today announced it signed a module supply agreement with Toyo Engineering Corporation to supply approximately 116MW modules to the largest solar power project in Japan, an approximately 231MW facility to be built in Setouchi City, Okayama Prefecture.
