Hanwha Q CELLS Sells UK Solar Power Plant Portfolio of 53.3MW
Hanwha Q CELLS GmbH today announced that it has signed and closed a share purchase agreement to sell a portfolio of three operating PV power plants in the UK. The projects were sold for a total amount of GBP 61.7 million (approximately US$90 million) plus working capital to NextEnergy Solar Fund Limited. The Portfolio is fully financed with non-recourse loans totalling GBP 45.4 million provided by Bayerische Landesbank. The financing will remain in place until 2032. -

China Sunergy Announces Joint Venture with Z-One Holding
China Sunergy Co., Ltd. and Z-One Holding today announced an agreement to form a joint venture to market and sell the full range of CSUN's solar products and provide PV solutions in the Middle Eastern and African markets. Under the terms of the agreement, the joint venture, CSUN Solar MEA FZC, will be owned 60% by China Sunergy, and 40% by Z-One Holding. -

Sunrun to End Nevada Operations
Sunrun Inc. today said it has ceased all operations in Nevada, resulting in hundreds of job losses. Sunrun said the layoffs and its exit from Nevada are the direct result of new rules adopted by Governor Sandoval's Public Utilities Commission (PUC) as well as actions taken by NV Energy and Nevada politicians. Sunrun hopes to transition its Nevada-based employees to other positions within the company where possible or place them with other local organizations. -
